The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a formal warning to 18 major United States corporations, claiming their regional properties and offices are at risk of attack. The military wing alleged these companies, which include several global technology leaders, have facilitated what it described as US-Israeli operations within Iran by providing specialized espionage services.
According to a statement released on Tuesday and reported by Press TV, the IRGC warned that these entities should anticipate retaliatory actions starting from 20:00 Iran time on 1 April. The military group stated that offices belonging to these firms within the region would be targeted for destruction as part of its response to ongoing security breaches.
High profile targets and technology services
The list of companies identified by the IRGC features prominent names in the tech industry, including Apple, Google, Meta, and Microsoft. Hardware and infrastructure providers such as HP, Intel, IBM, and Cisco were also named, alongside other major corporations including Tesla, Nvidia, Oracle, JP Morgan, and Boeing.
The IRGC characterized these firms as entities linked to the US government, asserting that their artificial intelligence and information and communications technology (ICT) services played a central role in designing operations and identifying targets for assassinations within Iran. The statement claimed that these services have been instrumental in supporting the strategic objectives of both the United States and Israel.
Evacuation orders and regional impact
The IRGC noted that despite repeated calls for a cessation of activities it deems as interference, a new targeted attack on Tuesday resulted in the deaths of several Iranian citizens. In light of these events, the military group declared that the institutions involved in such activities are now viewed as legitimate targets for military action.
A direct advisory was issued to the staff of these corporations, urging them to vacate their workplaces immediately for their own safety. Furthermore, the IRGC advised residents living within a one-kilometre radius of any of these corporate offices across the region to evacuate and seek secure locations.
Local reports indicate that the warning follows a period of heightened tension since late February, during which numerous Iranian political and military figures, as well as their families, have been targeted. Iran has maintained a firm stance on seeking retribution against any parties it believes are complicit in these security incidents.
