UMNO Members Urged to Begin Preparations Now to Regain Terengganu in Upcoming General Election.
UMNO Wanita Chief Noraini Ahmad has called on all UMNO members, particularly those in Terengganu, to initiate ground-level efforts immediately in preparation for the upcoming general election, with the goal of reclaiming the state.
Speaking at the opening of the UMNO Hulu Terengganu Division meetings for the Wanita, Youth, and Puteri wings, held at the East Region Malaysian Construction Academy in Jenagor, Noraini stressed that waiting until the last minute would be a grave mistake.
“All wings — Wanita, Pemuda (Youth), and Puteri — must begin mobilizing from now to ensure Barisan Nasional’s (BN) victory in the next general election.
“We must work hard, stay close to the grassroots, and consistently engage with voters. This is not the task of Wanita alone; every wing at all levels of the party must contribute.”
She added that past victories prove it is not impossible to win again, provided early and consistent efforts are made.
Also present was Rozi Mamat, Chairman of the Terengganu UMNO Liaison Committee and Head of UMNO Hulu Terengganu Division.
Noraini emphasized the need for BN to rise again by overcoming internal disagreements and uniting with a common goal.
She urged all three wings to harmonize their respective roles to ensure that people from all walks of life are well-served and cared for.
“Wanita UMNO should continue outreach through door-to-door engagement, while Pemuda and Puteri should utilize various campaign strategies, including social media outreach,” she suggested.
Meanwhile, Rozi, in his speech, called on all members to stop looking back and focus on the road ahead.
“What’s past is past. We must remain strong and loyal to the party — never betray the party’s struggle,” he declared.
