PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man has declared that the party welcomes MCA and MIC to join Perikatan Nasional (PN), stressing that both parties are free to choose their political direction if they are disillusioned with Barisan Nasional (BN).
He noted that MCA and MIC had grown frustrated over the lack of cabinet representation, which gave them the freedom to consider other options.
“If they want to join PN, we welcome them. Every party has its own supporters and role to play,” he added.
Speaking to Berita Harian, Tuan Ibrahim said that while political parties may differ on various issues, there must be unity on core matters involving Islam, Malay rights, Bahasa Melayu as the national language, and Malay culture as the foundation of national identity.
“Muslim unity must remain our shared agenda. Regardless of political differences, when it comes to the rights of Islam, the position of the Malays, Bahasa Melayu and Malay culture, we must stand together,” he said.
