Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has declared that PKR has no room for members who constantly complain and nag.
Commitment Over Complaints
As PKR president, Anwar stressed that the party requires dedicated leaders to reinforce its position within the unity government. He reminded members that public support is a serious responsibility, not merely a title or reason to boast.
“Those who are willing to work must remain committed. If you don’t want to work, then leave. Focus instead on strengthening the party. Constant complaining and whining have no place here,” he said during his speech at the Selangor PKR convention.
“There is still so much work ahead, and I am tired of hearing complaints rather than constructive suggestions.”
Fighting Corruption Without Fear
Anwar, who has led the unity government since November 2022, highlighted that his administration deals firmly with major issues every day, especially corruption and mismanagement.
He called on everyone to back efforts to eliminate theft and corruption in the country, acknowledging that such actions involve real risks.
“Those arrested are influential figures, including army generals, ministers, former ministers, general managers, and Tan Sris. But what do I care about their titles? What matters to me is the people’s mandate,” he said.
Unity and Service for All
Anwar urged the PKR machinery in Selangor to come together and revive the party’s spirit at every level.
“We look after Malays, Chinese, Indians, Orang Asli, the rights of Selangor citizens, and the rights of all Malaysians. This is the foundation of the change we are working to deliver for the benefit of the people,” he added.
