Sabah PKR has announced it will field candidates in 10 seats for the upcoming state election, including the son of Sabah governor Musa Aman.
The party, which secured two seats in the previous polls, has also left out former Sabah PKR chief Christina Liew from its list.
Yamani Hafez Musa, whose party membership drew widespread talk, will stand in Sindumin, a seat previously won by Warisan.
Yamani, Musa’s eldest son and a former deputy finance minister II, took the Sipitang parliamentary seat under Barisan Nasional in the 2018 general election. He later moved to Bersatu and skipped defending it in 2022.
Liew’s exclusion quells earlier rumours of her removal. She claimed Api-Api in a nine-way contest during the 2020 state election.
PKR’s other 2020 win was Inanam, held by Peto Galim.
Here are PKR’s candidates:
- Inanam – Peto Galim
