
The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) has issued a weather warning for multiple regions, forecasting heavy rainfall and thunderstorms, especially in the North, Northeast, East, and South. Bangkok and nearby provinces face a 70% chance of thunderstorms over the next 24 hours.
People are advised to stay alert for flash floods and surface runoff, particularly in foothills, near rivers, and low-lying areas.
The unsettled conditions are due to a low-pressure system over northern Myanmar and Laos, combined with a moderate southwest monsoon affecting the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand.

Waves are expected to reach about 2 meters in the upper Andaman Sea, and 1–2 meters in the lower Andaman Sea and upper Gulf of Thailand. Thunderstorm zones may experience waves higher than 2 meters. Mariners should avoid storm-affected areas.
Tropical Storm Danas Near Taiwan May Strengthen Thailand’s Monsoon
Tropical Storm “Danas,” located in the northern South China Sea, is expected to near Taiwan between July 6–7. While it will not impact Thailand directly, it will likely enhance the southwest monsoon, prolonging the heavy rain.
