Puchong Member of Parliament Yeo Bee Yin has announced the birth of identical twin boys, expanding her family to a total of five sons.
The DAP representative shared the news of the twins’ arrival on her social media accounts today, expressing her excitement for the lively “adventure” of raising five boys. In her post, she playfully noted that the new additions have joined the “LeeBro” team and anticipated a future that would be fun, adventurous, and loud.
Yeo, 42, is married to the Chief Executive Officer of IOI Properties Group Berhad, Lee Yeow Seng. The couple tied the knot in 2019.
A challenging pregnancy journey
The former minister of energy, science, technology, environment, and climate change revealed that the twins are Monochorionic Diamniotic (MCDA). This means they are identical twins who shared a single placenta but developed in separate amniotic sacs.
She noted that carrying the twins was significantly more demanding both physically and emotionally compared to her pregnancies with her three older sons. Despite the increased difficulty associated with an MCDA pregnancy, she expressed gratitude that the process was completed without major complications.
Healthy arrival for both infants
Both twins were born healthy, a milestone the Member of Parliament highlighted as a blessing. Her social media announcement was written from the perspective of the new arrivals, thanking their parents and welcoming the challenge of joining their older siblings.
The announcement has garnered warm wishes from the public as the family prepares for their transition into a household of seven. The news marks a joyful personal milestone for the prominent lawmaker amidst her ongoing political duties.
