UMNO Youth Chief Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh arrived at the Bukit Mertajam Court Complex at 8.25am today to face a charge under Section 505(b) of the Penal Code.
He was accompanied by hundreds of supporters, though only he and his family members were allowed into the court premises.
Akmal was represented by a legal team of eight lawyers, led by Aizat Azam, alongside Syahrul Syazwan Salehin, Hafiz Norkhan, Mohd Imran Tamrin, Syafiq Bahtiar, Zaki Shah, Fazreen Izuan, and Shakeel Saifuzzaman.
His wife, Dr Fatin Nadhirah Idrus, accompanied him into the courtroom.
