UMNO Youth Chief Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh pleaded not guilty in the Bukit Mertajam Magistrates’ Court on Friday to a charge of making a statement allegedly causing public alarm.
The charge was read before Magistrate Nurul Rasyidah Mohd Akit, who granted bail of RM5,000 with one surety.
The court has fixed September 22 for the submission of documents related to the case.
Akmal represented by a legal team of eight lawyers, led by Aizat Azam, alongside Syahrul Syazwan Salehin, Hafiz Norkhan, Mohd Imran Tamrin, Syafiq Bahtiar, Zaki Shah, Fazreen Izuan, and Shakeel Saifuzzaman.
