Acting MUDA president Amira Aisya stated in a Facebook post that she recently attended a meeting with opposition leaders at the invitation of former prime minister and Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Muhyiddin Yassin, but no political cooperation decision was made.
Amira said that while the parties present have significant differences, they all share deep concerns over key issues, including the rising cost of living, widespread abuse of power, and unfulfilled reform promises.
“MUDA believes the opposition must be a strong and principled voice to hold the government accountable,” she emphasised.
“MUDA is open to working with any party that champions similar policies and values.”
She added that MUDA has already reached a political understanding with the Socialist Party of Malaysia (PSM) and has been collaborating with Pejuang on Urban and Rural Agenda (URA) initiatives.
However, Amira clarified that no decision on political cooperation has been made so far, and any discussion on alliances will be decided collectively by MUDA’s leadership.
