Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim today dismissed speculation about former minister Khairy Jamaluddin rejoining his Cabinet.
“Is that so… who told you?” he quipped to reporters here.
The light-hearted response came after a Malaysia Gazette report suggested a major Cabinet reshuffle in early December, naming Khairy as potential natural resources and environmental sustainability minister.
The report outlined plans to bolster the economic team, shrink the Cabinet, and maintain policy continuity.
It further claimed Johari Ghani might take the investment, trade and industry portfolio, with the economy ministry possibly merging under finance.
Other speculated shifts include elevating deputy entrepreneur development and cooperatives minister R Ramanan to full minister, alongside deputy-level changes.
