Barisan Nasional (BN) has dismissed allegations that it plans to hold a swearing-in ceremony for the Negeri Sembilan menteri besar at Istana Serting in Jempol should the coalition win Saturday’s state election.
Negeri Sembilan BN chief Mohamad Hasan said he was unaware of any such arrangement, describing the claim as slander and psychological warfare orchestrated by BN’s political opponents.
Mohamad rejects allegation
Mohamad urged the public not to believe the allegation, saying the campaign should focus on policies and commitments rather than false claims.
‘This is nothing but slander. In this election, we should be convincing the public of what we can deliver and what needs to be done, not spreading lies.
‘Be mature. People no longer fall for slander,’ he said after casting his vote at SJK(C) Chung Hua in Rantau, according to Utusan Malaysia.
BN focused on state election
BN is contesting 25 seats in the Negeri Sembilan state election.
The coalition has entered into an electoral pact with Perikatan Nasional, which is contesting the remaining 11 seats.
