Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund locked in their Club World Cup quarterfinal spot with a 2-1 victory against Monterrey. The man of the hour for the Bundesliga squad was Serhou Guirassy, who coolly netted both goals in the first half. Monterrey tried to rally right after the break with a header from Germán Berterame, but they just couldn’t find that equalizer.
