Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Ismail Lasim has declined to comment on a viral video showing Yang di-Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir reprimanding him at a mosque in Kuala Pilah last Friday.
The Juasseh assemblyman appeared calm and smiled when approached by reporters, saying he was doing fine.
“I’m okay. I have nothing to comment on,” he said after the launch of the Negeri Sembilan Antlers team on Sunday.
Viral video shows ruler confronting menteri besar
Several videos circulating on social media showed Tuanku Muhriz telling a group of people that Ismail had written to the Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal, informing the office that the ruler was no longer the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan.
Tuanku Muhriz then questioned why Ismail wanted to meet him.
“Why does he want to see me? As long as he does not withdraw what he said previously, go away,” the ruler said in an apparently angry tone before turning towards Ismail.
In response, Ismail performed an angkat sembah, a traditional gesture of respect when meeting or greeting members of the royal family.

Separately, when asked whether the next Negeri Sembilan State Legislative Assembly sitting would proceed as scheduled, Ismail said the date remained unchanged.
The sitting is scheduled for Nov 26, following the postponement of the original date of Oct 16.
