Lady Gaga’s exclusive four-night concert run in Singapore this May brought in an estimated S$100 million to S$150 million in tourism receipts, according to The Straits Times, citing industry experts.
While this figure is smaller than the S$350 million to $500 million that Taylor Swift and Coldplay generated in March 2024, analysts say it further cements Singapore’s reputation as a leading concert destination in Asia.
Billboard’s June report showed that Gaga’s Singapore concerts, her only ticketed shows in May, grossed US$40.8 million (S$52 million) from 193,000 tickets sold. The concerts were held at the National Stadium on May 18, 19, 21, and 24, each bringing in about S$13 million.
Maybank economist Brian Lee noted that concert revenue refers solely to ticket sales, while tourism receipts include visitor spending on accommodation, dining, shopping, and services. He estimates that Gaga’s concerts added up to S$150 million in total tourism-related income.
