Perikatan Nasional (PN) election director Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said while other political parties are struggling with internal crises, PAS has remained stable without any disputes.
He stressed that Malaysians should see PAS’s stability as the main factor in choosing the nation’s future leadership.
“The only stable party without any issues is PAS. So, Malaysians must look at PAS. In GE16, the alternative to lead the country is PAS. No quarrels, everything is smooth,” he said during a press conference after the launch of TV Kedah at Wisma Darul Aman yesterday.
Sanusi, who also heads PAS’s central election department, was responding to questions on reports of turmoil in Bersatu. Local media had reported that four Bersatu division chiefs, including Supreme Council member Wan Saiful Wan Jan, are set to face the party’s disciplinary board over alleged leadership transition moves.
Sanusi declined to interfere, describing it as Bersatu’s “domestic affair.”
“I don’t want to get involved in Bersatu’s internal matters. It’s their household issue, nothing to do with us,” he said.
He also compared Bersatu’s situation to UMNO’s, saying UMNO’s crisis is even worse, particularly with Sabah UMNO demanding autonomy from the central leadership.
“Others are even worse. In Sabah, UMNO is fighting among themselves, and Sabah UMNO is demanding autonomy from UMNO’s central leadership. That is an even more serious conflict,” he said.
