Strong performance amid challenges
He described the achievement as a clear reflection of the EPF’s effective investment management despite a difficult global market environment. Anwar noted that the result also shows continued public confidence in Malaysia’s retirement savings system.
The total distribution amounts to RM79.6 billion, with 6.15 per cent allocated to both conventional and shariah savings accounts.
Government commitment reaffirmed
Anwar said the government welcomes this performance and remains fully committed to pursuing sustainable policies that support economic growth and improve the well-being of all Malaysians.
He emphasised that every Malaysian should be able to plan for their future with greater confidence and dignity.
Key financial highlights
Earlier, the EPF announced the 6.15 per cent dividend for Simpanan Konvensional and Simpanan Syariah, involving RM67.1 billion for the conventional account and RM12.5 billion for the shariah account.
For the year ended December 31, 2025, the EPF recorded total distributable income of RM82.7 billion, an increase of 9.5 per cent from RM75.5 billion in 2024.
Investment assets grew to RM1,409 billion, up 12.8 per cent from RM1,250 billion, driven by portfolio income and net contributions of RM66.5 billion.
