Voters deserve to know what candidates have actually delivered, PKR deputy president Nurul Izzah Anwar said when urging all parties contesting the Sabah state election to publicly list their achievements.
Speaking in Inanam today, she challenged parties to name at least three concrete accomplishments from their time in government.
“Most parties contesting now have governed Sabah before. It is only fair they tell the people what they managed to achieve,” she said.
Nurul Izzah stressed that promises should be grounded in real results, not extravagant pledges that cannot be kept.
“We don’t want to offer the moon, the stars and the galaxy. We want to talk about actual work done on the ground,” she told supporters after attending the Ziarah Kasih programme in Kampung Dambai.
She highlighted the performance of Pakatan Harapan candidate and Inanam incumbent Peto Galim, who successfully secured gazettement and recognition for 22 villages in the constituency.
“This is the kind of tangible result voters are looking for,” she added.
Nurul Izzah said Pakatan Harapan, especially PKR candidates in Sabah, had built strong momentum through solid delivery and close cooperation between the federal and state governments.
“Sabah PKR and PH candidates have a good track record of keeping promises to the people,” she said.
With the state election campaign in full swing, her call puts the focus squarely on past performance as a measure of who deserves another term.
