Barisan Nasional chairperson Ahmad Zahid Hamidi claims they have learned that certain parties are giving cash to voters in Sabah.
He said that although the money may be seen as “extra income” for voters, he urged them to continue supporting BN.
He said they were informed that some parties or coalitions had offered RM300, RM500 and even RM1,000 to voters. He said voters may take the money, but their support and votes should remain with BN.
He added that Sabahans should not endure another five years of hardship in exchange for several hundred ringgit.
He made the remarks during the launch of the Barisan Nasional Sabah manifesto at the Sabah UMNO headquarters.
He also said BN would monitor the implementation of the manifesto.
He said that if BN governs Sabah, he will oversee the implementation and ensure the introduction of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and National Key Result Areas (NKRA).
Ahmad Zahid urged Sabahans to give BN the opportunity to govern.
Earlier, the BN Sabah manifesto, featuring six main pillars, was read out by Sabah UMNO treasurer Salleh Said Keruak.
