
The Employees Provident Fund has declared a dividend rate of 6.15% for conventional savings for the year 2025.
Dividend announcement for 2025
The total payout for conventional savings stands at RM67.1 billion. For syariah savings, the dividend rate is also 6.15%, with a total payout of RM12.5 billion.
Both accounts recorded lower dividend rates compared to the previous year.
Comparison with 2024
In 2024, EPF declared 6.3% for conventional savings, distributing RM63.05 billion. The syariah savings account received the same 6.3% rate, with a payout of RM10.19 billion.
Historical dividend trends
Over the past decade, dividend rates for conventional savings have included 6.35% in 2013, 6.75% in 2014, 6.4% in 2015, 5.7% in 2016, 6.9% in 2017, 6.15% in 2018, 5.45% in 2019, 5.2% in 2020, 6.10% in 2021, 5.35% in 2022 and 5.5% in 2023.
For syariah savings, the rates were 6.4% in 2017, 5.9% in 2018, 5% in 2019, 4.9% in 2020, 5.65% in 2021, 4.75% in 2022 and 5.4% in 2023.
