PAS has reaffirmed its commitment to regain control of Malaysia’s political leadership. The party aims to establish Islam as the core foundation of governance.
Kedah Menteri Besar and PAS central election director Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor shared this stance in a Facebook post yesterday. He emphasised that the struggle must persist with full determination.
Only Islam Can Save the Nation
Muhammad Sanusi stated that only Islam can rescue the country and the world from injustice and oppression. He argued that systems not rooted in Islamic teachings often lead to corruption.
He stressed PAS must consistently pursue control of the political system, regardless of challenges. Faith in Islam remains central to this mission.
Critique of Current Governance
The Kedah Perikatan Nasional chairman pointed out that governance without Islamic guidance allows dominance by parties sidelining Islam. He cited the current Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional administration as an example.
Leaders who do not adhere to Islam risk being influenced by those who reject it as the basis of politics. This absence creates vulnerabilities in the system.
Justice and Security for All
PAS seeks to create space for Islam to thrive as a governing framework. The party promises justice and security for non-Muslims under its rule.
Muhammad Sanusi highlighted that Islam promotes purity of heart and fair treatment without discrimination. It ensures no one’s rights are denied while in government.
Boundaries and Mutual Respect
Islam prohibits oppression, discrimination, and violation of rights. It calls for respect towards others, provided the dignity of Islam is upheld.
However, Muhammad Sanusi warned there are limits that cannot be crossed. Attempts to undermine Muslim rights will not be tolerated, as the party safeguards its own boundaries.
