President Donald Trump has announced that the White House will be hosting a UFC event in 2026 — and it’s going to be part of America’s big 250th birthday celebration.
Speaking to an energetic crowd at the Iowa State Fairgrounds on Thursday, July 3, Trump shared that he’s teaming up with UFC boss Dana White to bring the action right to the White House lawn — with room for up to 25,000 fans.
“We’ve got some amazing stuff planned,” Trump said. “There’ll be pro matches, amateur fights — and the UFC card is going to be huge.”
Trump is no newcomer to the MMA scene. He’s been seen ringside at major UFC events like UFC 302, 309, and even appeared on the broadcast during UFC 314 in Miami, sitting next to Dana White.
As Trump walked into the venue to Kid Rock’s “American Bad Ass,” the crowd gave him a warm welcome. Dana White, a longtime ally, even introduced him on stage during the final night of the 2024 Republican National Convention.
